Operation Christmas Child
Sending Good News and great joy to children across the world through the simple, powerful gift of a packed shoebox.
Sending Good News & Great Joy in a Shoebox
Operation Christmas Child is a global missionary project of Samaritan’s Purse that delivers gift-filled shoeboxes to children affected by war, poverty, disease, and disaster across more than 100 countries.
For many boys and girls living in remote villages, refugee settlements, and impoverished neighbourhoods, an Operation Christmas Child shoebox is the very first gift they have ever received in their lives. Filled with school supplies, toys, and hygiene items, each shoebox stands as a tangible, living expression of God’s unconditional love and the hope found in Jesus Christ.

“The Greatest Journey” Discipleship Program
A shoebox is just the beginning. After receiving a shoebox, children are invited by local church partners overseas to enrol in The Greatest Journey—a voluntary 12-lesson discipleship course.
Through engaging, age-appropriate lessons led by trained local church teachers, children learn what it means to follow Jesus Christ, how to pray, and how to share His love with family and neighbours. At graduation, each child receives a colourful New Testament in their own language. Over 35 million children worldwide have completed this journey!
The Journey & Global Impact of Your Shoeboxes
From our packing tables in London to the hands of precious boys and girls across the globe—witness the transformation your generosity brings.
Packing Together with Love
Volunteers, Sunday School children, and families uniting at church packing tables to fill boxes with gifts, notes, and prayer.
Unwrapping Joy & Hope
For many children living in poverty or disaster zones, your shoebox is the very first Christmas gift they have ever held.
Partnering with Local Churches
Distributed by indigenous pastors who share the Gospel message of Jesus Christ in the child's own language.
Join the Shoebox Appeal at Wembley Christian Fellowship
Whether you pack one box with your children or coordinate boxes for your workplace, your gift carries eternal significance. You can also volunteer to help inspect and pack cartons at our collection centre.
Do You Need Prayer Today?
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 4:6–7 (NKJV)
No matter what burden, illness, family trial, or question you may be carrying, you do not have to carry it alone. Pastor Jaise George and our prayer intercessors pray over every request with strict pastoral confidence and Christian love.
